About the Wisconsin society of pathologists

Founded in 1940, the Wisconsin Society of Pathologists, an organization of board-certified pathologists, serves and represents the interest of patients, pathologists, and the public by fostering excellence in the practice of pathology and laboratory medicine, and by keeping involved with all clinical and scientific issues in the State of Wisconsin.

Through their relationships with the College of American Pathologists, American Society of Clinical Pathologists, and the Wisconsin Medical Society, they continue to remain current of recent legal, economic, and political developments in the field. The Society monitors legislation, and rules and regulations at the federal and state level while working with other organized medicine groups on issues concerning pathologists.

The Wisconsin Society of Pathologists holds accreditation by the Wisconsin Medical Society to present continuing medical education at its annual meeting.
